    Im not sure if im in correct section to ask this.. but i want to ask..
    is it possible to make a secondary / duplicate wordpress site to be a backup site? hmm this is what i want to do, lets say i have 2 different hosting server but only have 1 domain.. so if the main wordpress site server failure/broke i can switch to second server.. but when i switch to second server it have same domain.. what i have to do to make it work like that..

    sorry for my bad english..i hope who read this post know what i mean..

  • What you can do is create a second site just like the first and have two domain names: domain1.com and domain1.net. Point them both to the first site. If that site goes down, switch them around and point them both to the second site.

    An different solution might be to install a plugin like Duplicator (which doesn’t always work, but sometimes does quite well) or Updraft Backup (which works great) and backup the site and download the files. Worse case basis, if the site gets crashed, reinstall WordPress, and the plugin, and restore.

    thanks for your reply.. so i need to install wordpress with different domain but point the second domain to the first one?.. if im doing that will my website penalized by Google because it has the same content but different domains and servers?

    i already use Updraft Backup for backup the site.. but i want make recovery of my site easier when one of them crashed by using two different server
