How to create shipping zone based on city

You could set this up by limiting to postcodes (one per line); a range of postcodes (e.g. 90210…99000), or use wildcards (e.g. CB23*), as per the documentation here:

This method only works for post codes. Is there no way to do it for cities?

That’s not an option currently — you’ll need to either use postcodes or states.

Karachi is thecapital of the Pakistani province of Sindh, which is already included in WooCommerce core, so you can just add ‘Sindh” as your region for the charge, and all other zones etc. below this zone.

This will actually set shipping for whole of “Sindh” province which includes many cities such as Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur etc. I want to set different shipping charges for Karachi than rest of the country.

OK, there is some way to make it easier. I whipped up some code you can find here:

That will extend the state to include all cities for the included provinces. You can add more, or delete whatever you don’t want. It will also add the extensions to the shipping zones, so you can set specific costs.
