    Hi All,

    I use WooCommerce to sell some items. There are variations within the items, but I do not want them linked.

    For instance;

    T-Shirt available in 2 sizes. There are 4 x T-Shirts in each size.

    Each T-Shirt comes with a free gift (you have 2 x options). However, the current variation options within WooCommerce do not allow you to list these as separate.

    What I want to achieve is:
    Click T-Shirt.
    Select the Size (stock levels for each size starts at 4 per item).
    Once you have selected a size, you can choose your free gift (Gift A or Gift B).

    Can anyone advise the best way to do this? If using the normal Variable Product option within WooCommerce it lists each size with each gift option as 4 in stock (which is wrong).

    Any help appreciated.

  • Hi!

    If you tick the box to manage stock within each size variation, for this to work correctly you should create a variation for each size, but each size variation can be marked ‘Any Gift’ without you needing a separate variation for every combination of size+gift A and size+gift B. People can still choose a gift.

    To be clear, you do not need to create every possible combination as explained here. Having each size variation include ‘any gift’ attribute would mean that the choice of gift would not impact stock levels of the particular size of shirt.

    Alternatively, have you considered using an extension for your free gifts function? This would enable the gifts to operate completely separately from the T shirt variations and gives you some extra functionality. Free Gifts for WooCommerce is one we often suggest.
