How to Create Two Columns Next to One Another

I would like to make the homepage of this website have two columns next to one another similar to how this page appears to have two columns next to one another.
I tested it out on this page, using the test data on the plugin’s website.
It looks like it’s just separating the text, as if I entered a couple carriage returns/line feeds.
What would I need to alter in the shortcode in order to get this plugin to create two columns like I desire?
If I could figure out how to get maybe the first two paragraphs in two columns next to one another, that would give me the start I need. As of right now, I’m lost on how to get this plugin to do what I’m trying to get done.
