• Hi there, I am trying to create separate shop ‘pages’ on my site because WP doesn’t have that function, so I can then add a primary menu drop down for the customer based on categories. In very page I create I can change the title image to be unique to that page and also for each single product.

However when I go to categories there are no OceanWP options to customise the page, so the title image is always the home page image, which really doesn’t work well. I also want each category page to be 100% width like my main shop page.

I installed the ‘categories images’ plug in and it added a field at the bottom of each category page and I added an image, but it hasn’t done anything to the page.
I also added the ‘custom fields’ plug in but I can’t work out how to utilise it to do what I want as I’m not tech savvy enough.

I short, if my category is ‘phone accessories’ I want to be able to change the title image to something related, as I do on each blog post and site page.

I have added a link but the site is still under construction and I don’t know how to add a screenshot.

    Thanks in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi,

Your site is in the coming soon mode so I’m not able to view it.
To customize the category page title image, you have to write custom code for it. There is no option in the theme to customize the category page title image.

    Hi thanks for the reply!
I haven’t coded before – can you advise what code I use and how to add it?

    Hello,

Unfortunately, it falls under Personal Customization, and as such is out of our scope: https://docs.oceanwp.org/article/685-support-policy
Usually, when it comes only to a few lines of code, we are more than eager to help everyone achieve the desired look. However, this is really more than that, and I would kindly advise you to consult a professional on this matter.

Hope this helps and best of luck with your website.
