Hi. ….thanks for the great menu ??

In the previous version, I had edited some of the CSS to customise some of the formatting, but with the latest update, this has all changed.

There is now this option for supporting Shortcode, but I have no idea what that means? {sorry} :/

Is this now how we can customise formatting? If so, can you provide any information or insight for how that is achieved please? If I need to learn something about ‘Shortcode’ is there an article/tutorial or particular reading you could recommend please? I just need a starting point. ??

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Mianne

PS. I have more than a basic understanding of HTML/CSS/PHP etc.

  • Hi Blondie,

The shortcode just means that you can over-ride the default behaviour of the menu being displayed on every page in the footer and placing the HTML wherever you would like and only on specific pages.

Unfortunately, the shortcode doesn’t take any arguments at this point in time and is in the very beginnings of its beta stage so you can’t control the styling etc. with the shortcode.

You can read about Shortcodes in WordPress from the Codex on the page below:

I have also replied to your other topic which may or may not be related to this but advises on how to edit the CSS.

    I hope this helps.

    Many thanks

    Peter
