Hi there! Thanks for the fantastic plugin.

I’m building a new site where my users will be able to create their own products. See it as an online flee market.

In this setting, there will be no online sales. Buyer will contact the seller and they will make arrangements between them.

So I wish to customize what appears in the All Products Guttenberg block. I’d like to add the seller’s name and a custom button with a link to the product/contact seller page to my block.

Is that possible? Is there a template file I can modify to achieve this?

    Thanks for your time!

  • Hi @macarrier! It sounds like you want to create a product catalog with multiple vendors, where customers can find but not buy products online, and can find the specific vendor that listed a product.

It sounds like you would want to use Product Vendors and Advanced Catalog Mode for WooCommerce to achieve this. Product Vendors would allow you to set up the multi-vendor aspect of the marketplace, and Advanced Catalog Mode would allow you to make it so that products couldn’t be purchased, just viewed.

I would also add that we have a 30 day refund policy (https://www.woocommerce.com/refund-policy/), so you can try these plugins out and return them if they are not to your liking.

Let us know if you have any further questions!

Thank you Austin for the quick response.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I want to do. Though, the site I’m building is for an NPO, and I’m building the site for free. So I’m also looking for free solutions.

So question stands. Is there a template file I can modify to achieve this?

    Thanks for your time!

    Hey again!

There is not a template that will add in/modify all the core functions like the 2 plugins mentioned would.

Basically, you wouldn’t be able to easily have the products attributed to another person without the vendors plugin. The catalog visibility plugin can be bypassed with a hack of setting the item out of stock or something similar, to not allow checkout, but it won’t look function just like you are hoping.

    Hi again!

I figured out the multi-vendor using the WCFM – WooCommerce Frontend Manager plugin and the no-sales with YITH WooCommerce Catalog Mode.

Now, all I want to do is customize the front-end output of the All Products Woocommerce Guterngerg block. How can I do that?

Hi @macarrier. There is some limited functionality for customizing the output of the All Products block built into WooCommerce. You can use the “Filter Products by Attribute,” “Filter Products by Price,” and “Active Product Filters” blocks to give customers filter options for the All Products block.

For altering the default output, though, you would need a customization. How were you hoping to customize it? Per our support policy, customizations are outside the scope of the support we can offer, but we have a customizations page with resources for contacting a developer for help. You can also ask about this on the WooCommerce Slack Community or WooCommerce FB group which are great places for customization questions like this if you don’t get an answer in this thread.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. Feel free to start a new thread if you have any further questions!
