How to customize media buttons & put grey lines in banner page

How do I remove the media buttons on top of the header?

Uncheck all the social icon settings in the theme options “Social Networking” tab.

I have my own media buttons installed. How can I save and upload them to appear on the top of the banner?

You will be replacing the existing one by making sure yours is named the same as sprite-social.png

Do I need to replicate it? Like the same size and spacing?

yes… because the css for the social icons use positioning coordinates it’s best to keep it the same size and image layout of each icon if you can, otherwise if you have your own, you will need to redo the positioning of the x and y coordinates of each icon if they are different from the original one.

26×26 is the size.

Can I add another button like a youtube icon? or it is limited to only 5 buttons?

The best way to do this without having to also change the css is to replace one of the icon graphics that you don’t want with a youtube one. If you want all of them plus one additional one (youtube) then you have some more modifications to do.

When you change the ‘banner top line’ it only changes on the home page and not on all of the pages in your/my portfolio. Is there something i need to amend to ensure the colour change is the same across the board please.
