how to customize text under icon?

By “text underneath the icon” you mean the text under the icon on iOS, Android or Windows 8? This text defaults to the title of the bookmarked page, which is a good guess most of the time. Plus it cannot be overridden on iOS and Android (as far as I remember, this should be possible on Windows 8). So I didn’t plan to add this kind of feature in the plugin.

Did you think it could be useful?

I read at the site below, there is a way to add a short name, Also, the icon on the home screen looks great while the favicon doesn’t look so great. A suggestion would be to allow for different pics for each purpose. But in general, nice plug in. Thanks.

You are totally right! Thank you! iOS and Windows 8 are covered by these two lines:

<meta name=”application-name” content=”App name”>

However, there is no way to override the title markup with Android Chrome (https://developer.chrome.com/multidevice/android/installtohomescreen).

This feature should be added to RealFaviconGenerator itself, this is not related to the plugin. So:

– I mark this ticket as resolved.

I suggest you to follow the GitHub project if you want to know when it’s done.
