• Hi,

    I have integrated the enquiry module in the product page with the shortcode. But the form doesn’t match the look of the rest of my website. Is there a way I can customize it with elementor pro and design a beautiful popup? I have ACF as well.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • WC lovers will say it’s impossible but I’m sure an Elementor pro user @bearwithus did this successfully with shortcode on a regular button triggering a popup form. I hope @bearwithus will share the steps at how he did it as wcfm will not help you with this.

    I actually checked @bearwithus website mentioned in his profile, He is using the default form by wcfm. Is there a way we can do it with custom fields of enquiry module and ACF? @

    Wcfm is a great plugin. Only that form is looking very odd.

    Hi,

    Yes, we gave up as we realised it would need some coding, WCFM weren’t helping and we know nothing about code…but I highly doubt it is impossible!
    The reason we wanted to change the form was the same, it looks very odd and doesn’t match there rest of the site’s aesthetic.
    At first we set up a contact form that would just fire off an email to admin and the vendor which was visually more in tune, but the drawback was the the enquiries would obviously not be logged in the dashboard…we may go back to that solution eventually.
    I guess you could try using .css to change the original form. We’ve done that in many of the original WCFM areas with some success but we haven’t had the time to try it on this form yet.
    If you find a way, please do share and we will do the same…Good luck!

    We added WhatsApp chat button substituting the original chat one on the shop banner but still looking for a solution to change also the button on the product page.

    @bearwithus ,
    I think we can all agree the Inquiry form design is less than desirable and requires allot of CSS to get it to look visually appealing. It’s such an important part of the interaction between customer and vendor it’s a pity it’s so underwhelming.

    That’s unfortunate you couldn’t get the [wcfm_inquiry] to save in elementor forms..if only we can figure out how to get emails to return to the vendor inquiry dashboard.

    Its a problem I’ve run into aswell and according to Elementor support its for security reasons only the admin is the email recipient. I think it would need to be coded to bypass that annoying limitation.

    Basically my conclusion is Elementor forms are not compatible with a multi-vendor set up.

    What’s more odd and puzzles me is @wclovers created an Elementor plugin to style the store page which they have not updated in a year and only some of the widgets work.
    Let’s hope 2021 is the year @wclovers can win back it’s once hard earned Title of amazing support.

    PS! If you do find a way by coder please post back your method and I will do the same!

    I tried to Use visual CSS editor on WordPress to edit the form but the padding and everything looks very complicated for the form. This form on the single product page is the only reason I switched from dokan to wcfm. and only this form is the only downside of wcfm. if @wclovers are gonna help me with premium support, I might pay for the plugin.

    There is no inbuilt way to edit Enquiry form style.

    You may add additional fields to Enquiry form from WCFM admin settings – Enquiry

    But if you want to change its display then have to add custom CSS at child theme’s style.css

    @wclovers
    Firstly thanks for responding !
    Secondly,
    Could you answer the original posters question regarding if the Inquiry form supports ACF fields ?

    Surley you can integrate custom fields from ACF, CPT, toolset and pods to the Inquiry form in a future update ?

    It makes sense that many users need to add ‘custom post type’ repeater fields from other parts of the site to keep continuity between form builders.

    Thanks
