How to deactivate Yoast SEO plugin before WP all Import

I am trying to update several thousand posts with images using “WP All Import Pro” but the “Yoast SEO” plugin slows down the import allot and it sometimes forces the import to crash, I had a look at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/deactivate_plugins and https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/advanced/action-reference/ but doesn’t seem to get this to work.

Can someone help me with the correct syntax to disable first using pmxi_before_xml_import andf enabling after the import using pmxi_after_xml_import the “Yoast SEO” plugin?

Despite having paid for the PRO version of “WP All Import” the support was so far unable to provide me with a sample script, and only pointed me at those pages to figure it out myself…
