How To Deal With Deleting Spam Quickly.

  • Greetings all,

    I have a blog that has over thousands of comments with spam. I moderate the comments, so they do not reach my main blog.

    I am not too computer savvy, just to tell.

    The question I have is: Is there a quick and effective way to delete all the spam without going through each and every page and deleting it? Is there a program I can download, or another option to delete all the spam comments awaiting moderation?

    2. Also, is there a program (that is easily down loadable) that can moderate blatant spam comments from a blog?

    Help is appreciated!

  • Do you have the Akismet plugin activated? That will delete most them automatically.

    To delete them check all the ones you want to delete and click on the bulk action drop down menu and select delete.

    No, I do not have the Askimet plugin activated, but I will look into that.
