    If a subscription payment fails, the subscription is put ‘on-hold’. How do I attempt payment again to activate the subscription for that billing cycle?

    Aside from that, is payment for on-hold subscriptions automatically attempted again in the next billing cycle?

    Thanks for reaching out!

    You can set the automatic retry of subscription payments on failed attempts in our pro version of the subscription plugin, you can also set the number of attempts in a failed case, as you can see this in the attached screenshot

    Thanks for your reply. We will purchase the pro version. What will happen to the previously failed attempt? Does it try to activate the subscription again the next billing cycle?

    I set the failed order to ‘Processing’ in WooCommerce, and the subscription is active. I guess this is the right way to do it!

    Hi,

    Yes you can purchase the pro version, and yes you can manage the failed subscription from the admin end and change the order status, else the client will place a new order again if the order has been failed and canceled.
