• I’m trying to define a marker collection using marker shortcodes instead of the Waymark-editor.

    [Waymark marker_centre=”54.526814,-3.017289″]
    [Waymark marker_centre=”54.52678,-3.007289″]

I expected, this would display one Waymark map with two markers. But it displays 2 maps.

How is the shortcode syntax for my usecase?

Is it possible to define maps and collections via shortcodes without using the Waymark editor?

    Hi @solidara,

    Thanks for reaching out.

I expected, this would display one Waymark map with two markers. But it displays 2 maps.

One Map per Shortcode is the expected behavior. The ability to add Markers through the Shortcode was a user-requested addition and only single Markers by Shortcode are currently supported.

Another option to bypass the Editor would be to define your Markers in a file (GPX, KML & GeoJSON supported) and display that through the Shortcode using the Shortcode Files feature.

While I think the Editor in combination with structuring data between Maps and grouped via Collections works for most, I would definitely like to make the plugin as flexible as possible.

Feel free to provide more context around your use-case, as there may be another way to achieve this.

    Cheers,

    Joe
