Hi i am trying to delete the uncategorized page and remove the comments at the bottom of the front page. but cannot find it in the wordpress CMS. I know abit about html and some coding so do i have to remove and delete pages via ftp?
And if i do, do i need to make up all the files as i cannot find any of the content ive put on the site via the wordpress CMS as ive looked in all the theme files in the ftp, but just cannot find my text. Oh and i am trying to make the site look like i website and not a blog, but i want a blog page. Thanks for reading and would appreciate any help.

  • Try looking in the Posts tab of your Admin menu. You cannot remove Posts or Pages via FTP as these are all saved in your database and not as files.

WordPress doesn’t save content as files, so you cannot use FTP. Perhaps you need to have a look at https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Pages

Hi there buddy. The content you’ve put on the site via the wordpress CMS is saved on the database and not on the files of the theme (if i understand it right).
And fort the site to make it a static-like, you do really need some knowledge of PHP so you can customized the theme yourself.
You can do it both via FTP or on the Admin page. For FTP, you just simply upload the theme files you updated. Via the admin panel, you can simply edit the theme files found on Appearance then Editor.
