Under Sharing Settings/Sharing Buttons in Jetpack, I added a new service (which is a great feature, BTW, and one I am grateful to have).

The button works fine, but I am not happy with the icon I selected for the image on the button. Since I couldn’t find a way to delete the new button, I created a second new button for the same service, but even though I selected a different image file the second time, it came out identical to the first button.

I would like to edit one button, replacing the current icon image, and delete the extra button, or delete them both and start all over again with the image I want. How do I do that?

I see the Jetpack support staff are unavailable for the next two weeks – keeping my fingers crossed someone else knows the answer to this issue, as my client will be very unhappy if I don’t get it fixed for that long!

Hi there! You can remove a custom sharing service from the Settings > Sharing page. To do so, hover your mouse over the icon that you’d like to remove, and click the red “X” that appears. I recorded a short screen capture for reference, which you can see here:

Please let me know how that works for you!

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the video – I was able to get that to work. We switched to a different plugin in the meantime, but I’m sure there are other people with this problem who will be grateful for the answer. I did try mousing over the button, but all I got was the drag icon. I also tried dragging it off the edge of the screen. Clicking it is the one thing I didn’t try!

You bet! I’m glad to hear that helped. Please don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.
