How to delete bulk images via FTP????

  • Hi,

    I have searched but can’t find the answer I need..

    I accessed my wordpress via ftp and found a bulk of images related to those in the media library, so I deleted them. This deleted the images BUT all the image descriptions are still in place, meaning I have to go through pages and pages to delete manually. I’m sure this is the right folder by ftp??

  • I think the image descriptions are stored in the database and that’s where you should delete it if its a huge number of images.

    I recommend you backup your entire website before doing such changes.
