How to delete 'categories' & 'Link' on pages?

  • How do you delete do sub-categories of ‘categories’ & ‘Links’ in all the pages? I tried going to widgets and dragging it to INACTIVE- but it didn’t work. What else can I do or what am i doing wrong?
