    Hi Support,

Thanks to an earlier ticket, I learned how to use a pop up to add social share links.

Now I can’t get rid of the shortcode for these icons. I’ve removed the checkbox from your Settings, saved, refreshed, tried a different browser, different computer, private browsing … the shortcode icons are still on the bottom of our home page.

Can you please tell me how to delete them.

    Thank you,

    Linda

Hi Linda, could you please clear cache? By that I mean also to de-activate and/or purge cache from cache plugins.

I’m happy to try, but not quite sure how. Can you give me a little more explanation, please.

    Thank you,

Please go through your plugins and check if any one of them is about caching. If so, please disable it.

Aha, I see what you mean. No, I don’t have a caching plugin (trying to avoid having one!).

Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks.

P.S. I checked some more and discovered Autoptimize does caching so maybe it’s the culprit. I’ll try disabling it and let you know the result.

Phooey. Disabling it didn’t help. Those icons are still there. Very weird!

If you disable our plugin, are the icons still there?

    Hi Social Dude,

    Update:
Disabling didn’t work after clearing cache and trying Private window. BUT what I hadn’t realized is that unchecking the short code option in plugin Settings did not remove the short code from the page. When I went into edit mode on the page, however, I found the plugin’s short code block, clicked “remove block” … and it went!

Hope this might help some other user.

Thanks for helping me with this … much appreciated.
