• I had activated JetPack for my self hosted wordpress blog some time ago. Then, my site changed servers and I changed the core install from “https://… … .net/blog” simply to the main open directory “https://… … .net”

On wordpress.com the JetPack cannot connect and says I need an update – it tries to open wp-admin within the blog directory whcih is no longer where it is located.

I also get the following error, “Your website needs to be publicly accessible to use Jetpack: site_inaccessible
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 403]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: https://jetpack.me/support/”

It is publicly accessible, but the connection is pointing to the wrong file/directory.

    Please help?!?

    Thanks,
    Mike

  • You have to ask the WordPress.COM support people to do so.

Or contact JetPack per that message.
