How to detect the popup was closed so I can run javascript?

I’m using this plugin to pop up a page from my own domain within an iframe. When the user closes the pop up, I’d like to detect it was closed, so I can run an ajax call and update the parent page. How can I detect it was closed on the page that contains the popup shortcode?
