how to disable "accept remote TCP connections"
-
I read Hardening WordPress. It suggests: “If you administer MySQL yourself, ensure that you understand your MySQL configuration and that unneeded features (such as accepting remote TCP connections) are disabled.” But nowhere can I find how to do that. It only links to sites outside WordPress that use technical language way over my head about programming, and not on my subject. I assumed there must just be an option somewhere in phpMyAdmin to just disable the accept of tcp connections? But I can’t find it anywhere. Should I have to spend the next 6 months studying programming to be able to disable this option, wherever it is?
