Recently I’ve realised that at the top of each event detail page is a banner showing which user created the event, and the date. We have many once-a-year events, and rather than create them afresh each time, we update the date for this year. However, the detail page shows the original creation date and creator, which can now be several years old. This is making people wonder whether the information is current. How can I turn this off? I can’t see anything about this in the plugin settings pages.

  • I am *no* expert, but I wanted to get rid of all the author info that was showing up in the event posts. I found it was controlled in the meta information for blog posts (the event detailed pages are modified posts). The theme I use (Avada) has a section in theme options specifically for blog meta and when I turned all of it off, it stopped showing up in the event posts/detail page.

Thanks for the idea, @beth0612. I’ve had a look in my theme (‘Risen’) but there doesn’t seem to be anything about blog meta. I can turn on/off header images, but that’s it. Looks like I need to work out how to do some deeper PHP editing.
