  • Hi Paialnik,

    I and Anand from ClickDesk, please follow these steps to remove the ClickDesk plug-in from your WordPress:

    You would first need to login to your WordPress admin console, on the left hand side of the page, you would see plug-ins. Please select ClickDesk from the list and click on “de-activate” and then “remove”.

    If its just removed without de-activation or vice-versa, it may not be removed completely.

    If you have added the code manually, please go to Appearance tab and then Footer and remove the code from there.

    Hope this information was helpful to you. In case you need any further assistance, please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]

    Hi anandtalla,

    I did exactly as you recommended: de-activeted and then removed.

    Cleaned all cache.

    Opened my web-site and Clickdesk pwidget is still there.

    Please give some more details to remove it.

    Me neither! this sucks

    I also cant remove clickdesk from my website.
    is there a way to search for the code that the plugin adds to wordpress and manually remove it ?

    For those of you having trouble with this crappy plugin, and injected code from ClickDesk… I managed to remove it after the plugin was deleted (without deactivating) from our site.
    We had this code in the bottom of our footer.php file

    <?php //include_once('style_selector.php'); ?>
    	<?php echo $data['space_body']; ?>
    	<?php wp_footer(); ?>

    I solved it by commenting out (or removing) the
    <?php //echo $data['space_body']; ?>
    See if it works for you, I don’t have a clue for what the “space_body” tag is used for, but it didn’t break our site. Looks like it might be theme related or something.

    It works!!!! I finally removed the plugin!

    1-Go to your WP dashboard
    2-Go to Apperance
    3-Select Widget
    4-Find the TEST/HTML widget with Clickhelpdesk
    5-delete widget/content

    Hope that helps
