    Hello, everyone:

I am so frustrated, I been looking everywhere for almost 3 hours, but I still can not find it.

I wonder if this is hard to achieve?
I want to prevent a user ( except admin) to see the title and text area when he or she writing a new post. All they will see are some custom filed entries and choose category to post belong to.

    How can I do this?

    Please help me on this!

    Thank You

also, if I found a page that a custome theme created its own posting page inside the page instead of the default wordpress dashboard, if I want to edit that page, how can I do that?

    Thank you!!!

To use a custom page template, it’s probably best to create a child theme and copy the file to the child theme’s folder. You can use your main theme’s folder as well, but there’s a risk that a theme update will cause your file to disappear. After putting the original copy in a safe place, edit the file as you desire, using a basic text editor.

To use the edited page template, enter the admin screens and select Pages > Add New. The new template should appear in Page Attributes Template drop down. Select it and enter a title for the page. Depending on how the template is set up, content may or may not be needed. Click Publish. Reference the page using it’s permalink or id just as any other page.
