How to disable for staging site.

Please try https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress#section-onesignal_initialize_sdk-filter to never initialize OneSignal on Dev/Staging. (read orange box https://documentation.onesignal.com/docs/wordpress#section-customizing-wordpress-plugin-behavior first).

This is going to be very complex to get setup.

I am running my site on 3 servers (dev, staging and master) all code is done at dev level and pushed upwards to staging and master.

Then I pull the database down from Master to staging and dev.

This method technically works, but the moment I pull the database down, it is going to mean the mu-plugin will end up being disabled as it would be on master.

Isn’t there any other method that will let me just use a define() in the wp-config or something more elegant that the above?

BTW the above comment I was meaning for a WordPress MU site.

To put this code into every theme for all the subsites and then try to make it auto switch on and off depending on which server it is on is going to be very complex and tricky to setup.

Having the ability to disable via the wp-config.php would be a godsend. Or even doing something similar to Jetpack were you can set it to debug mode.
