    Hello,
Google Fonts are not GDPR compliant when they are loaded from their servers. Instead we have to disable and self-host them.
Can you please provide instructions how to disable Google Fonts in your theme?

I’m doing my best to help you solve it – we’ll get there ??

Quite a few people are using this method successfully, including us on generatepress.com. So we need to figure out what’s different about your set up.

If you’d like, you can set me up with temporary admin access and email it to [email protected]. That way I can check things out personally.

If that’s not an option, can you send me a screenshot of your font family dropdown in the Customizer?

I see you have it set up using a system font now, which has successfully removed any calls to Google.

Now we just need to get your local font working.

Did you end up changing the font family name? I see in your Simple CSS section that each font-family name is still set to Open Sans.

No, I just used Segoe UI. I tried renaming the font family, it doesn’t work, because then even if I select the font, it applies some random system font instead.

I don’t know how to set up a temporary admin account.
Here the screenshot, as you can see, I have Open Sans in my system fonts. If I select it, my text loads super slowly and the connection to Google Fonts is still there.

So Tom figured it out. There was a Slash missing in my font folder URL and my PHP script was only activated on the backend.

Glad we got it working ??
