I love this plugin for ease of use for my clients, especially the post grid block. BUT (and this is huge), the re-styling of the headings is totally unacceptable. Why is this even included? Why assume that a theme can’t handle headings and DOESN’T want the headings used for the grid to match the rest of the theme? They’re almost always at least 10 pixels larger than what’s built in to my themes, plus they’re underlined on hover, and all other sorts of mess.

I always overwrite it in my theme, but that’s not a solution at all it’s just a bandaid. I’m concerned about this not only causing CLS issues as it flashes through that huge font size, but just the extra bloat… I just can’t comprehend why it would be there.

Please tell me there’s a way to disable this “feature” and please, PLEASE consider removing it and allowing the theme to style itself.

    Hey @christinaleans,

    Thanks for bringing this up!

We decided to manage the headings within Genesis Blocks to avoid issues with themes that utilize large header sizes. You’re right – it’s not ideal when you’re using more moderately sized headings.

For now, overwriting it in the theme may be the best bet. We’re planning on leveraging the query block in the future to address this issue in a more long term capacity. I apologize for the frustrations in the meantime.

Please let us know if we can help with anything else!
