How to disable https access for admin login

    HI,

    I just did a stupid mistake. Without checking my server https access or not. I enable the admin user have to access through https protocol. End up now I cant login to my backend anymore.

    When I try to login, the error message said

    SSL connection error
Unable to make a secure connection to the server. This may be a problem with the server, or it may be requiring a client authentication certificate that you don't have.
Error 107 (net::ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR): SSL protocol error.

    Any idea how can I disable this function?

    Help please.

    I have exactly the same problem – cant′acess my site anymore.(enabled https for complete site) Even undoing the change within the plugin settings would not work (I was still logged in the Settings area of the Plugin) because on saving the “undoing” I received the SSL connection error as well.

    (Errorrcode: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

    Please help – site ist now totally unavailable for me and others!

    I am still figure out how to solve this.

    Currently I found a way to do so, but I still checking if this solution work perfectly or not.

    What I did is

    1. login to yr ftp and search for wp-config.php file
    2. then open it and u will see a line like
    `define( ‘force_SSL’, true );
    3. change the “true” to become “false” and save it.
    4. the login to yr website backend again.
    5. If here u r able to login already, mean its good! go to plugin page and disable it.
    6. However, if still not accessible for you. You may need to look into .htacess file. to replace the code.

    I still uncertain with what I done here as I am still doing the testing. This could be a reference for you.

    I need help with this. I did the same stupid thing.

    My wp-config.php does not have the `define( ‘force_SSL’, true ); line in it.

    I renamed my entire plugin folder

    I replaced my .htaccess file with a generic one

    I still can’t get in.

    Hey CaptainsLog,

    If you don’t have the lines Wei Hong is referring to then this is likely a different issue.

    Could you please start a new thread and let us know what’s happening when you’re trying to log in? An error, blank page a redirect or something else?
