How to disable Leave a Reply on Pages

    As newbie in WP I can not quick discover How to disable Leave a Reply on Pages. After adding several new pages, I discover on all pages this “Leave a Reply ” at the bottom of the pages.

    See that there where many threads in the forum. But even in the newest version I can not find a simple solution.

    I guess it can be disabled, but where?

    Hope one of you can help me.

    This worked for me:

    go to pages > all pages

    now select one of your pages by moving your mouse over the page title
    you’ll see an option called ”edit” > click on it

    in the top right corner of your screen you’ll see a button called settings
    located next to the ”help” button, click on it and make sure ”comments” is turned on

    now scroll down to ”comments” and make sure you turn off ”allow comments”

    my WP version is Dutch, so my apologies if some names were differently
    but nevertheless I hope it will work

    Just tested this, but with no results.
    All check-boxes are unselected in the page section: Show on screen
    Revisions Custom Fields Discussion Comments Slug Author Page Attributes Featured Image
    Also refreshed cache.

    Oeps. You have to choose Quick Edit not Edit then unselect Allow Comments. After saving it works!
