How to disable pingbacks when linking internally

Every now and then I want to link to some older post from my new post. It’s pretty annoying that WP does pingback to that post.

How can i disable or properly link to older posts without older post getting pingbacked?

I tried to solve this many ways but i didn’t manage to do it.
