How to disable Search Box & Enter search term box

  • I’m trying to figure out how to disable these two functions on my webpage though I’m not being successful. There is always either of the following; search box / enter search term / floating empty text box on all my webpages.

    When I do some google searching the recommendations are to modify out the search.php file of my template which I suppose I could do though I’m hoping for an easier solution?

    I’ve disabled all widgets in the dashboard > appearance > widgets section

    Hi William,

    By default, the Modern Estate theme outputs a container for the sidebar, even if there is nothing in the Primary Sidebar. This is something we may fix in a coming update, but there are no specific plans to do so at this time.
