• I installed plugins, then I added something on it. I guess every month or couple of weeks the available version update is available.

Now I want to disable or hide that updates so that no one could overwrite on what I’ve done to that plugins. Is this possible? Please give me your thought guys.

    Thanks a lot,
    Eugene

  • I believe this will work …

Open the main plugin PHP file that contains the Plugin Name, Author, Version, etc.

Change the version number by adding a letter to the end of it. For example, if the plugin is version 1.3 change it to 1.3a

The automatic updater should no longer recognize the plugin by version, IIRC.

Or you can always bump the version up to something it’ll never likely reach..

Version 9999.9999 , lol… (ok no need to go that mad, but sure you get the idea)

Thanks guys. I’ll try it out.

    Cheers!

Not working … better idea? That is the 1.0a for example.

As i said before, bump the version up really high, and you’ll not get nags, i do this for one or two plugins i use…

No need to be excessive like i was in the example above, but high enough that’ll take some time to reach..

4.0 or whatever … it will work..
