How to disable “Some plugins were automatically updated” emails?

This is the message sent by WP when plugins are auto-updated. What do you see on the righmost column on the “all plugins” page of the admin panel? If you don’t want the emails, disable the auto-updates.

Thanks for the reply Steven. On the Plugins > Installed Plugins > All page, the rightmost column is headed “Automatic Updates”, and they all say “Auto-updates enabled”.

I want auto-updates, I just don’t want to get emails about it.

I think the same filter is used.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that article talks about the core update emails, not plugin updates. Ideally I’d like to be able to disable them too, but they’re not as annoying because core updates don’t happen as often as plugin updates.

I’ve been using the Advanced Automatic Updates plugin for some time, so my plugins have always been updated regularly, but the plugin update emails have only just started arriving; is this a new feature?

Yes, plugin updates were introduced in 5.5.

These emails really need to be optional.

If you’re interested, I released a minimal plugin that hooks in and disables both plugin and theme auto-update emails. Needed something easy & fast to install for my own sites because these emails were getting out of hand.

Some of my client’s websites I don’t have access to anymore, so therefore I can’t install a new plugin to disable these emails.

I am receiving numerous emails from each website.
