    Hello,

    Several question:

1# After SSL installed, some videos does not play in Mac safari, but play well in Chrome and Firefox, I tried a lot, but can not fixed. Anyway to resolve it?

2# if not, I am just think set those video page as exceptions, so I read this article:
    https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/disabling-ssl-for-one-page-only/

but it seems only support Appache, and we are using Nginx, so is it compatible with nginx, if yes, how to set it on nginx?

Thanks, and have a nice day.

    Alex

    Hi Alex,

on what site are you experiencing the video issues? Http:// content on a https:// site will get blocked. We recommend to contact the video provider to check if they can make the content available over https://.

It is possible to exclude a page from SSL in Nginx. The rules might slighty differ from an Apache based server and changes have to be made to the nginx.conf file instead of the .htaccess file. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27735729/nginx-rewrite-single-https-url-to-http for more information about disabling SSL for specific pages in Nginx.

    Hello Mark

Thanks, the video is hosted on local server.

Is there any plugin to handle the exclusions please?

I am running a multisite, and it is really complicated for me to touch conf.php

    Thanks.

    Hi Alex,

we do offer the Really Simple SSL per page plugin which allows you to select which pages should have SSL and which don’t. See https://really-simple-ssl.com/downloads/really-simple-ssl-per-page/. That would be the easiest solution, otherwise I’m afraid you’d have to make those changes to the nginx.conf file.

On the front-end, the mixed content fixer kicks in when a page is loaded on SSL. This plugin integrates seamlessly with the Really Simple SSL pro plugin if you want to scan your site for insecure items.

does it mean that Really Simple SSL pro must be installed please?

Yes, Really Simple SSL supports multisite, and no, Really Simple SSL pro is not required for Really Simple SSL to function.

For more questions about the pro plugin, please post a support request on https://really-simple-ssl.com/support, as it is not allowed to answer questions about premium plugins on the WordPress forums.
