How to display 25 recent posts in full on a one page

I have a purchased template that I am using for the whole site, and on one page of the site I want to create a “blog” that would post all the most recent posts we add to the page, I want to show the full post with images, NOT an excerpt with thumbnail. I have created a new template php file that am trying to use to create this “blog” page. I tried wp_get_archives but I just get a list of the post titles. How can I get the full posts? I am teaching myself all this stuff so please send me step by step directions, thanks for the help!
