How to display all posts on single page?

  • Hi there. The colormag theme can display all posts from a specific category eg https://Yourwebsite.com/category/animals/

    Is there a way to get a results page like that showing posts from all categories? I would like to setup a page to show all latest posts. (similar to the latest posts widget that works in the sidebar.)

    For that you can first check if there is any present and then list the posts under that category else you can simply create a Parent Category called ‘latest’ by going to Dashboard->Posts->Categories. Then you can go to Appearance->Customizer->Menu->Primary and then click on add item. There scroll to categories and click on the one titled ‘latest’ and it should display all the latest posts from all categories.

    Sorry your answer did not make sense. Check if there is any present. any what?

    You cant create a parent category like that. You can only create normal categories or child catergories.

    i take it then this request is not possible with the default theme.

    Sorry for that, I meant to say check if you have any posts present under the category ‘Latest’ which should be present as a default if you’ve imported the demo. You can search for it in the Dashboard->Posts->Categories. Can you once check and let me know? If you find the category just make sure to place your posts under that category for it to be displayed and then place the category on the menu.

    There wasnt a latest category.

    i have 100 categories already. if you mean deleting all of them and starting from scratch that is going too far. but thanks for trying to help.
