    I’ve been looking at https://wp.wistudat.be/grid-wud-how-to-use/#, but I don’t see instructions on how to display images from a gallery.

    I’d suggest splitting that guide into smaller more manageable sections sections that are easier to understand. I see instructions on using categories/tags/slugs but not galleries as source.

    I want to show images from a gallery, in a grid or tileset way.

    What I’ve done:
    1. Installed your plugin, no changes to your plugin settings.
    2. Created a new page and added a gallery with 25 pictures.
    3. Gallery is displayed as a default WP gallery. How do I change that?

    Or… another way to look at my problem. How would you add a tileset of images, let’s say 50 of them, so that clicks on the thumbnails would open a lightbox in the same window, isntead of a new page?

    I might be missing something very simple. Overall, your plugin looks good – lots of customization, frequent updates, free… I hope I can get it to work.

    Thanks!

    Hi it2websites,

    First of all, thank you to use my plugin!
    You’ve made her an interesting post , which has my full attention .
    How it works now:
    If you have any kind of post in category My World with slug “my-world”, you can use the short code: [gridwud slug=”my-world”].
    No matter or these posts haves videos, pictures, galleries …, it will search into the posts and display (generate from…) always the first image from this post into the grid/tile.
    Like this all the grids will have a picture.

    So it can be a mix of different posts or the same kind of posts.

    The plugin does not create tiles from ONE gallery post, it need more pages to create grids/tiles.

    Very interesting in your comment is to use a lightbox instead going to an article.

    I can add this feature to grid-wud and it will be available in the next version.

    About the manual … i know the problem and i should work on it, if i have some extra time.
    After the promised update i will update the website and manual.

    Down the page: https://wp.wistudat.be/grid-wud/ i have made grids/tiles from 5 gallery posts.

    Regards, Danny

    Hi it2websites,

    I have been thinking about the Gallery option you mentioned and … have add it in the 1.1.2 version which is uploaded.

    In the Grid WUD settings, down the page you will find: Grid WUD Gallery.
    Just activate it to change all your Galleries into Grids or Tiles.
    I suppose that this is the first thing you wanted ??

    Sample Gallery: https://wp.wistudat.be/wud-gallery-sample/
    The Light Box option will come soon ??

    Hello,
    In my final release is the Light Box included.
    = 1.1.5 =
    * Grid WUD Gallery with Light Box popup images.
    * Grid WUD Gallery: on/off.
    * Light Box: on/off.
    * Gallery image URL: on/off.

    In other words, you can use the WordPress Gallery code and activate the Grid WUD Gallery as well the Light Box option in our settings.
    From now on your Gallery will have the grids/tiles look and the Light Box popup if you click on an image from the Gallery.

    Regards, Danny
    Topic is solved there all needs are fulfilled.

    Hello,

    Concerning your suggestion:

    I’d suggest splitting that guide into smaller more manageable sections sections that are easier to understand. I see instructions on using categories/tags/slugs but not galleries as source.

    The manual is now split in different chapters, with samples and explanation:
