• Hi, I would like to display the categories in my sidebar, but I do not know how to create the code. I’ve tried searching Google for days but cannot find a solution.

I am using the Headlines theme from WooThemes, if that makes a difference. The theme came with code to display comments and tags, but not categories. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

  • Have you tried adding a categories widget to the sidebar widget area from your dashboard yet? Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets

Yes I did, but that just added it to the bottom of my sidebar. If you look at the Headlines demo theme here: Headlines demo, look at the right sidebar where the four tabs are (“Popular,” “Latest,” “Comments,” and “Tags”). That’s where I want the Categories link to go, in place of the “Popular” tab.

Ahh. I see now. It seems like there could possibly be an option for that in the themes option pages somewhere, if it’s an available option. You might want to check in the WooThemes support section for your theme.

Here is the page to download the documentation for the theme.
