How to display events in a list format, and filtered by catetgory

Thanks for reaching out! That’s simple, just create the menu link directly to the category you want to show, for example: https://site/events/category/art/, it will take the user to the calendar filtered by the Art category.

Yes you can make the List View the Default View in the Settings under the Display Tab.
