How to display just the sales items

Using the terrific gifts,sales,coupons extension. I would like to have a ‘clearance’ category that just displays items on sale — on a separate page.

I tried creating a ‘clearance’ category but that category shows up on the front page in the category widget and I can’t figure out how to exclude it.

Or, is there a way just to group together the sales items on a page without creating a new category?
