How to display (meta)data using Custom Post Type UI

  • I’m about to give up, I just can’t get the hang of it.
    I want to use Custom Post Type UI for a portfolio so that I can fill in metadata, for example, clientname, url, tools used, etcetera. And then style the output of these metadata and display them in posts. Just like WP Portfolio offers (but I want way more flexibilty)
    I just can’t seem to display the metadata in a post. I’ve swim my way through Google and tons of tutorials, everyone saying something different (code) than the other and nothing works.
    Someone shine a light please!
