How to display only top-level item, no sub-items

  • I have a portfolio with sub-items, so parent and child items. On the overview page I only want the top-level items, because when clicking on one of them the portfolio-item will be shown with links to the sub-items.

    I tried to add ‘depth’ to the widget, but that didn’t work:

    [display-posts post_type="portfolio" image_size="portfolio"? posts_per_page="100" columns="3" depth="1"]
