Hi – I’m new to Pods and so far so good, everything has been amazing and working perfectly!

I’m stuck with one thing though and can’t find the answer, can you help me please?

Within a pod I have created a PDF field using field type File/Image/Video.

I’ve managed to get all of the other pod fields to work using various Elementor widgets but I can’t seem to link any of the WordPress or Elementor widgets to my Pods PDF field. I need to be able to conditionally display this field depending on whether the field is empty so ideally it would be easier for me to use a standard WordPress or Elementor widget to show the PDF, is this possible please?

    Thank you
    Sam

Just to add, I have now also tried using the Pods Text Website field instead and linking to an Elementor button – the button allows me to select the Pods custom field and opens in a new tab however the url is removed and replaced with what looks like a partial ip address? Is Text Website the correct Pods field type for me to show a link to download a PDF?
Thank you – I appreciate any help with this ??

    Hi @sammieantha

Please contact Elementor support, it’s a known issue that their Pods integration is not complete yet.

Thanks Jory – I contacted Elementor support and they helped me get it up and running. To be fair, it was user error!

Amazing plugin and I’m more than happy using it with Elementor – very powerful combination!

    Thanks again

Hi @sammieantha: Can you share the solution you got from Elementor support? I struggle with the same problem!

    Thanks!

Hey @blacckmamba that’s me just seeing this sorry for the delay! Where I had placed the URL for the PDF document, the path was showing simply as ‘301’ instead of the url to the PDF document. I still don’t know what that happened, but thankfully when Elementor support pointed this out it was just simply a case of making sure the correct PDF url was in that pod.
