How to do it like the demo page ??

We are a non-profit organization unfortunately with not so much technical knowledge so I would appreciate if anybody could let me know how to get those two pages on my site:

We need exactly the same ! What shortcodes (including the parameters) we should use ? (including the side bar at the events page).
