How To Do This?

  • I’m in the middle of reoragnising the URL structures on one of my sites.

    I want to be able to organise urls like this:

    mysite.com/colours/red
    mysite.com/colours/yellow

    This is obviously simple using categories. However, I want to be able to put content on mysite.com/colours as well as the inner pages.

    Can someone explain how to do this?

  • you can do that by adding a template file and name it, and we’ll say your “colours” category has the ID of 7, use category-7.php and create a custom template for that category alone

    that way you can put whatever content you want on it.

    it wont be straight forward as editing a post would be, but you could probably set that “category” to loop through and pull from a page so the content of a page shows up there.
