The home page often displays excerpts of posts and other content, and the layout is controlled by a template in the theme, and possibly theme settings. If you provide a link to your site someone should be able to tell you where to get the best help for this appropriate to your theme.

Your site appears to be using a theme called infralight. As this is a commercial theme and no one here has access to it, support for this theme cannot be provided here

If you search on google for ‘wordpress infralight theme’ you should be able to find the vendor so you can request support through their own support channels.

I have a similar question/issue. I’ve taken over a wordpress site and have been asked to ‘revamp’ it, which I thought was going to be relatively straight forward. It still might be, however I too have hit a roadblock with the header and homepage. I can’t find a way to access it to make any changes. Here is the url: https://voiceemergent.com/

Thanks for any guidance you may be able to provide!

Hi! I recently took over a site for a company with a theme (that they do not want to change) but that they created. I can’t edit the homepage and have the same blank box every time I click edit.

a helping hand would be sooooooo great!

    Same question. Site URL: https://tncoho.com

Uses Eventbrite theme. I read the messages here. then examined the themes settings. Didn’t see much that seemed useful.

Special issue for me: I want to edit the MailChimp button which is in an always-present column on the right side of all the pages. The MailChimp admin has asked me to “paste in” a bunch of new MailChimp code. I can’t get anywhere close to such a low level of editor as that implies.

    Please make suggestions. Thank you,
    David

    Same problem with mine!!!
I had my website made with some one who has disappeared from face of earth and now I can’t find a way to change my home page title in main page and photos of thumbnails. Can someone guide me?

Same problem. I’ve looked at everywhere to change the content on my home page but never succeeded. If you could tell me how to edit it, you’ll save my life. Thanks!

    Thanks

I hired someone to migrate my blog from Blogger to WordPress back in January. She did a terrible job, and I then had to hire someone to fix the mess she made. I now would like to be able to edit what is showing on my home page. There is a place at the top that shows my three most recent posts, which I want to keep the same, but towards the bottom there is a place that shows a few blog posts for some different categories- this is the part that I would like to be able to edit and change out on a regular basis. For the life on my I cannot figure out how to do this. And I can’t afford to hire help again. I want to be able to change these things out at will. Can someone please help me figure this out? Here is the link to my homepage. https://sweetparrishplace.com/

Well, it’s a bummer that no one has responded to these many requests for help to edit the home page. Except cubecolour at the top of the thread, 11 months ago. I am writing this as [email address removed] and I asked this question 3-1/2 months ago. Specifically I had a problem with the linkage to MailChimp.

So 3 months ago I hired a contractor to fix the MailChimp problem. She did a great job, works internationally by e-mail and voice-Skype. Great service and no goofs. I will provide a reference off-line to any who e-mails request to [email address removed].

But I never really learned how to edit the homepage. So I gather it has to do with the templates and themes. If the theme is “bought” and proprietary one must hire their “people” to do a change? Seems contrary to our intended use of WordPress in the first place.

I’ll post more when / if I learn more about editing homepage. Got bigger fish to fry everyday.

Best wishes, David ([email address removed])

I see that cubecolour has removed my e-mail address (2 places) from the post. I apologize for perhaps goofing up on an etiquette or usage issue. You may request this info via a reply on this forum directly. OR is that also a breach of etiquette? Let’s not hijack the thread to discuss forum policy. Back to “how to edit my homepage?” Thanks, David

Please see the forum welcome page https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Forum_Welcome#The_Bad_Stuff

Forum members should not post their email addresses, ask others to post their email or solicit contacting people off of the forums.

OK, so I’ve read the “Bad Stuff” list. I apologize for offering to act as intermediary to a private contractor / party.

However! We still aren’t getting closer to “How do I modify my home page”. If home page is controlled by a theme/template (in my case Eventbrite) and we can’t ask for help with themes (per the Bad Stuff list), then what do we do?

I know that Eventbrite is a separate commercial product. I don’t know for sure that my Eventbrite theme is a proprietary part of that product. For that reason and many more I would expect this forum to support the technical (as opposed to the artistic) aspects of “How do I modify my homepage?”.

Or am I way off track with something here?

    Respectfully, David
