How to edit templates. Please help urgently

    I tried to add title to my blog post by going to templatew files and adding my title in header.php. But I got the messgage that
    You need to make this file writable before you can save your changes. See the Codex for more information.

    How can I make the files writable and change codex permissions. Please help regarding this
