How to edit the dynamix frontpage?

  • I am trying to change the (dynamic) frontpage, to make a different layout. Now it just spews up all the latest posts, and I would like to order them like this:

    Latest 6 posts from category 'interviews' with image
latest 12 posts from category 'poems' without image

    My problem is, I have no idea where I can find the php that compiles the frontpage. Can you give me any clues where to find this, and give me a hint if you know of an easier way to do this?
