    Hey everyone

I’ve been trying to edit my password recovery & loginpage but have had trouble trying to edit them. For example:

    https://sint-goedele.brussels/password-reset-2/

I would simply like to edit the instructions / translate it to Dutch. But it seems locked? I’m only allowed to change the title.

    Another example:

    https://sint-goedele.brussels/log-in/

I would like to translate the first field’s value from “Username” & “Password” and also I’d like to translate the text of “Forgot your password?”. But again I don’t seem to have the ability to change it. (The text on the left “Aanmelden…” I can adjust just fine).

    Please help? ??

    Thanks in advance
    Tom

After some digging I’m assuming I simply can’t edit these template pages.
I also tried looking in the plugin file editor but can’t seem to find the text I want to edit.

We recommend using Loco Translate to translate the plugin strings – https://wpusermanager.com/article/181-how-to-use-loco-translate-for-wp-user-manager/

Thank you very much for the suggestion!

I managed to change my password recovery page this way. Thanks for that!

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to adjust my login page’s field values (“Username” and “Password”) despite searching over all results with those values with Loco Translate.

Also the “Forgot your password?” link text remains unchanged for the same reason.

If unclear you can view my login page here

    Thanks again in advance!

    Hi @tombosaurus ,

Mark here, from the support team.

For the login page, please ensure that you use the “Sync” functionality from LocoTranslate, to sync all the strings correctly. Then try to look for the words/strings that you need to translate again.

As I checked, it is working properly from my test site – https://share.getcloudapp.com/9ZuKxgzR

?Please let me know how it goes, and I’ll be glad to assist you further with this.

    Hey Mark!

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

I’ve tried using the Sync button in LocoTranslate for my dutch translation WP User Manager?. It found a few more strings but unfortunately not the one’s from my log in page.

Is there anything else you can think of that I could try?

    Thanks again in advance!

    Hi @tombosaurus ,

    You’re welcome!

I double-checked this from my staging site, but it seems that I’m able to change the words from it. I’ll be glad to assist you further with this. Could you please contact us through here to do so?

I’ll look forward to your message from there. Have a great day!
